Something unusual happened in Macklin this past Sunday, the Macklin midget hockey team were to play Dewberry at 3:30 this past Sunday. The game started as any midget game does, a couple hits here and there and lots of chirping on and off the ice. It was 2 to 1 after the start of the second, but then a huge scrum started infront of the dewberry net, the whistle did not go when the goalie had the puck so the Macklin forwards continued to go for the puck. All hell broke loose when the whistle finally did go, there were punches flying everywhere. After the officials got the brawl under control, there was a total of 5 people kicked out 2 people on each team for fighting and a third for swinging at the linesmen "Jarrett Macdonald".
The dewberry team only had a total of 8 players left on there team, the game continued but the Mohawks got 6 goals in the next 5 minutes. The dewberry midget hockey team left the building and forfitted the game.
