The song I chose to listen to is the song "Cats in the Cradle" by ugly kid joe. This song has a very strong meaning to it which i dont think alot of people truly understand. The song tells a story of a little boy that gets no attention when he is younger because the father always puts him second. At the end of every course of the song the boy always says "you know im going to be like you dad". So as the child gets older he always puts his father second, just as the father did to him. The father does not relize why his own son does not want to have anything to do with him. Near the end of the song he relizes what he has done to his son and why he acts this way. His own song has grown up into how he was. The song has a very sad meaning but it has a very strong story behind it, it tells the listeners that kids need attention and you have to give it to them or they are going to grow fond of you not being there.
